The only WAC's ever to capture an enemy soldier was Anne Marie and another officer in the SW Pacific.

Anne Marie was the first Commanding Officer for the first WAC detachment to be established at Ft. Hood, 1950.

Anne Marie was the first WAC Staff Officer at the U.S. Army Strategic Intelligence School in Washington D.C. She was there 5 years to 1962 when she left for Vietnam.

Anne Marie was the first military woman to serve in Vietnam in 1962-1963. She was the only MAAG WAC and the first WAC attached to MACV. - Noteworthy is she was past the mandatory retirement age and it was not until 3 years later that WAC's received Pentagon clearance to serve in Vietnam.
In Vietnam, Anne Marie was attached to Saigon Command as a G-2 Intelligence Officer. She, in part, advised the military regarding how information was transported behind the ears of Elephants, tendency for the use of jungle trails and on tactics historically used in Vietnam against the French.. The latter to include the old tunnel system, waiting until personnel had passed to attack as well as the importance of cultural differences and loyalties.

PROVN report, 1965/1966 -Declassified in 1981. Anne Marie was the only woman of 8 officers who were chosen for a study group on behalf of Army Chief of Staff Gen. Harold K. Johnson. The study was to result in a military strategy for the Vietnam War. Each officer had Vietnam advisory experience and each was considered an expert in their field. Anne Marie and Army Lt Col Emmons were chosen as the two Counter Intelligence experts.
