AM's opinion in 1943 was based on at least 10 years of compounding facts not everyone had. From information that I have within letters, trouble with the Japanese began in the 1930's for friends & Erles collegues in the oil business. In Germany, fears began for AM's Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and freinds there by mid the 1930's. Before censoring it was known that, barracks, airplanes and the SD were By around 1933 letters arrived after censorship. ... The SD was the plain clothes intelligence arm of the SS. They reported anti-nazi individuals and kept card files on suspected persons.
Later, AM's Grandfather was shot by the SS. As a pharmacist, he likely continued medications for undesireables.
